This page presents information about a call for expression of interest to select legal experts who will advise further obstacles identified under the 3rd and 4th calls for proposals
of the initiative b-solutions
Background information and objective of the call
b-solutions is an initiative to identify and promote sustainable methods of resolving border obstacles of a legal and/or administrative nature along EU internal land borders.
First launched in 2017 and planned for 24 months, the pilot initiative has been amended three times to better respond to the challenges identified throughout its implementation.
In light of the success achieved, the action has been extended until 14 December 2021 and two calls for proposals to select cases presenting border obstacles will be open in the course of 2020.
Through the next two calls, the Association of European Border Regions (AEBR) and the European Commission's Directorate General for Regional and Urban policy intend to select a total of 50 new border obstacles of legal and administrative nature to receive direct professional consultation.
The present call for expression of interest has been opened to select experts to advise further obstacles and provide sustainable and replicable solutions.
