Boosting the #EmergencyIntervention at the Spanish-Andorran-French border

The Consortium of the Working Community of the Pyrenees (CTP) is one of the beneficiaries of the b-solutions’ I call for proposals. Aim of the Pilot Action was to create a joint system of emergency services at the French-Spanish border.
Jean-Louis Valls, Director of CTP, comments his experience:
„We think this project could allow us to open the door and put around the table several levels of competences” says Jean-Louis Valls, the Director of the Working Community of the Pyrenees. We have reached our objective: seeing ambulances crossing French and Spanish borders will be a reality in the next future”.
The core challenge being addressed is not technical alone, but institutional: different countries (and even regional authorities within them) have separate legal frameworks, protocols, funding systems, and chains of command for emergency response.
